Terms of Use

Last updated: October 5, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of everyinstrument.com (the “Site”), operated by JY Concepts, based in New York, USA. By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.

What the Site offers

Every Instrument is a free resource that shows the notes of public-domain songs for beginner instruments (letters, numbers, tabs, fingerings and valve numbers), with a play-along player and print sheets. We may change, add or remove features at any time.

The songs

Every melody on the Site, and every set of words shown with it, was first published more than 95 years ago and is in the public domain in the United States; status may differ in other countries. Each song page names its source. Notes for each instrument are worked out by our software from one melody per song. We work to keep notes, fingerings and dates accurate, but mistakes can happen; please tell us if you find one.

Using and sharing content

The public-domain songs are free for anyone to play, teach, print and copy, at home, in class or anywhere else. You may print and hand out the Site’s print sheets. Copying the Site’s design, its lists or our own writing in bulk requires our written permission.

What you may not do

Our content

Apart from the public-domain songs, the Site’s design, writing, images and name are owned by JY Concepts.

Other websites and services

The Site links to and uses services from others (such as Cloudflare and a public instrument-sound library). We aren’t responsible for their content or practices.

No warranties

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it accurate and online but don’t promise that it will always be available, error-free or complete.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, JY Concepts is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. Because the Site is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to US $50.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will post changes here and update the date above. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
